Yeah, she swam a perfectly straight line. No way someone just randomly put a line over the picture to show the round-a-bout path she took.

I've done a good bit of open water swimming doing triathlons. I have no doubt I could cross (although I'd rather not try). I have no idea where I'd end up, but wouldn't drown. And I'm an average swimmer in that regard. It does not surprise me someone could do it at all.
