Nobody is arguing that it wasn’t huge, but Mendoza’s run doesn’t matter. It was handled incorrectly from that point on. It really doesn’t matter who was on deck, he should have been walked to set up forces at all the bags

I agree.

But, we should also agree that didn't come into play.

Look, if Mainieri said, "we had to pick our poison. Of the two options, we liked pitching to Mendoza more...", I can't complain too much.

A lot of fans see everything as black and white. They can't regognize that LSU was facing a negative situation in BOTH cases.

I was where you were last night. But, honestly, there are much bigger mistakes he made over the weekend. This was probably a 50/50 type of call.
