Again, there is no excuse whatsoever that when Bruce resigned in October of 2017 and we didn't have a permanent replacement in place until December of 2018. The narrative we were fed for the delay was that we were waiting to interview a coach that was in the World Cup, turns out not only did we not do that, but we didn't even interview Tata Martino. Berhalter may work out, who knows at this point, but there is still no defense for how long it took to hire him.

I agree, but who was supposed to hire him? Sunil, who was on his way out?
