NFL pensions are a joke unless you wait until your 55. You get 2k a month if you take it before your 55 and 6k a month if you wait. My uncle played for the rams in the 80’s and he’s my source for this

NFl pensions are considerably larger for players who got credited years after 2000 than for those in the 1980's.
