Got a link? I can’t find anything saying inflatables only count if worn. This is directly from LDWF website and only says kayaks have to have a PFD on board, but doesn’t say anything about inflatables having to be worn to count.

ETA: FWIW, its pretty dumb to spend $70-150 on an inflatable if you aren’t going to wear it anyway when they could just buy a cheap $10 life jacket to keep on board to stay legal if they aren’t going to wear it.

Y’all are missing the details of the law, inflatables are a type V. Read the rules again and ask yourself why is the type V only cited as not acceptable for only pwc?

Straight from the back of my Mustang Auto Inflate:
According to this, my inflatable only must be worn for commercial use.
There are some inflatable PFDs that will say USCG approved only when worn. Those have to be worn. Read your labels and it will tell the tale. Mine is classified as a Type III PFD for recreational use and a Type V PFD for commercial use.
I wear mine 24/7 in the yak anyways, but just clarifying the law.
