Murder is 90th for the year
quote:
Dallas police say 17-year-old Leroy Hawkins was in the passenger seat of a car when he was shot just after midnight on Tuesday during a confrontation at Akard and Federal Street in downtown.
It marks the ninetieth murder in Dallas this year, prompting Governor Greg Abbott at a Tuesday event in Dallas to offer the police chief assistance from the Department of Public Safety.
Leroy is the latest Dallas murder victim. The 17-year-old was preparing to play college football at Jackson State University.

All you insecure Louisiana posters are funny. Don’t worry, your crime statistics are safe

Should increase the theft limit. This is all obviously being caused by over policing and economic oppression.

You act like that’s an accomplishment. Sad about crime in both cities

Dallas is turning into Baltimore or Chicago in terms of incompetent city leadership. Corrupt politicians go in and out like a revolving door but the voter base refuses to vote for anyone but democrats to run the city. It's becoming a shithole.

RIP young man. No one deserves to have their life cut short for ANY reason, let alone senseless violence as this.
With that being said, is it any surprise that Dallas is going the way of CHicago when you have a Police Chief and DA BOTH blaming society for the criminals action, rather than holding them culpable?
Police Chief stated that criminals were resorting to criminals activities bc society doesn't want to allow them to reenter.
DA Czreot(SP?) says he won't prosecute anyone for any theft of $750 and less, nor pretty much most activites done by a certain demographic.
This is the New AMERICA Ladies and Gentleman....sit back and watch the show

I took my nephew to the Dallas Aquarium and we took the DART to get there. The train station we got off at was extremely sketchy, it was the West End Station. Just a bunch of people who have nothing better to do with their lives than loiter around a bus station all day. We saw the same deadbeats when we got there at 10am as we did when we left at 2pm. I did not feel safe there

It's true. I've stolen a TV everyday this week.

I saw the story pop up on Facebook.
Leroy Hawkins III was a recruit for Jackson State and had just graduated from high school a week ago.
The driver of the car he was sitting in got away from the shooting and knows who did it.
People need to quit frickin' shooting other people.
Hang the shooter from the courthouse steps.

Damn, calm down, David Duke. All black people aren't bad.

No voters to hold them accountable.
The voting base of Dallas basically consists of 3 blocs
1. Minority voters who live in South Dallas
2. Extremely liberal hipster/LGBT types who live in places like Oak Lawn
3. White ivory tower liberals who live in North Dallas
