He mom was from Sweden. He has a sister named Siobahn, pronounced Shivawn and a brother named Bjorn. I've known Kaare since I was about 14. He is a really nice guy.

I'm pretty sure his mom is from Lebanon, and the reason he and his brother have those Swedish names is they were named after two soldiers his dad Phil Johnson met in WW II. Those Swedes were captured by and escaped the Germans something like 3 times or so.

At least that's the story he told on the air one time. And he always talks about how his mom is from Lebanon and that's why he knows good Lebanese food when he does his ad schtick for Lebanon Cafe.
