What would I be looking at spending for a pretty basic rectangular pool? Say 25000 gallons. Finished concrete, no liner. Any good recommendations around the greater Baton Rouge area?

Thanks!

Baseline is probably $40k for a good contractor. I’m sure there are cheaper options but you get what you pay for

30 to 50k

Someone will low ball it, there is a reason for this. I had quotes a little while ago..they were all over the place.

I would imagine if they needed the work or not. I really do not know.

My backyard is a nice size but hard to access so maybe some had some issues with that. I can't remember the specs, but it was for a small-med size pool with a couple extra foot of contract around it.

I don’t think you can get in for less than $32-35K anymore. Jumps up fast if you expect any kind of options.

Here is a question that nobody asks in these pool threads. How are y’all affording (paying for) these $50k pools? I mean, are you saving and paying cash? HELOC? I just want to know what most people are going with. I have a hard time seeing myself throw that kind of cash out there. The family keeps bugging me about one, but haven’t looked into anything yet.

No way you live in Louisiana. $28k here for a pool would get you a puddle

Waterscape pools did ours, you can really spend whatever you want with the finishes. For 25k gallon the min would be around 40 for gunite salt water with the current automation equipment

No, I don't live in LA. I'll try to remember to take some pics this afternoon.

I’m very interested to see pics and a date of construction.

Pools used to cost way less but have increased in price with technology/materials/overall inflation.

I never recommend anyone getting a pool unless they have huge amounts of cash to burn or they plan to be in their home a long time.

I will put one in eventually but I’m not at that point in life yet. It does not help any overall value of the house other than someone who wants a nice pool.
