Chip with it? Putt with it?
My putting wasn’t bad, so I’ll keep the flat stick, but man, it sucked yesterday pounding 285+ down the pipe all round, only to frick up a 7 iron or less most of the day. Even a slipped hand in the middle of a drive or hitting it off the toe resulted in a near perfect drive.
I somewhat figured out the irons on the back 9 by shooting 10 strokes better, even carding a birdie, but the front 9 was frustrating as frick.
Just have decent distances on your irons and resign to a chip and two putt. And try to break 90.
I started going to the range more often and hitting a ton of just 9iron and 7iron. That's helped some.
I might want to try arriving early enough to warm up.

I have good distances on 6I thru LW, but actually hitting them was a different story.
You would have laughed at my 2I hybrid that I hit 205 and it never appeared to get more than 6” off the ground. fricker scooted all the way to just left of the green pin high.
