2017, 2000 is all I believe we only played them 6 times in the post season. 4-2 record in the postseason against them

our 4 victories were the 2 in 2017, the one in 2000 and first game in Omaha 1987. So we only eliminated FSU in postseason play twice.
Our two losses were in the 1975 regional and 1994 College World series.

Pretty crazy that we haven't played FSU more often, considering how often they've made it to Omaha. Knocking them out in 2017 is the only one I remember.

I remember 2000 because they had to beat us twice to advance. They lost 1st time. Also looks like Florida knocked them out several times in Omaha in the 90s.

This is gonna be a tough super. They are a hot team. They destroyed UGA twice.

Alex Box will be a fitting setting for his last games.

I remember the 2000 game very well. I never would have thought then that they'd still have the same coach, 19 years later. I've always thought he was older than he actually is. Seems like he should be in his mid 80's, but he's only 75.

They usually managed to always get themselves eliminated before playing them.

Venerable #LSU baseball SID @AlexBoxVoice tells me this super regional will mark the first time Florida State will ever have played baseball games in Baton Rouge. Remarkable considering the proximity of these two powerhouse programs.
This is crazy to think about.

I remember the 2000 game against FSU in Omaha well.
My buddy Hunter Gomez started that game. Ponchatoula LA boy

there were a few times in the early-mid 2000s where we were on the same side of the bracket but mike martin just bowed out in the regional or super regional like clockwork during that stretch. they were the #1 overall seed two years in a row and couldn't make a cws
and then the years they did make them, were our down years. still kind of amazing to me in hindsight that smoke laval managed to make a couple of college world series appearances with how badly he left the program
ACTUALLY those years predate posey by a couple years, he started in 2005
