Floor width is 86.5". It's not the least bit sketchy driving or riding up there.

Yeah thats wide AF. I'd imagine you feel pretty sturdy up there with that width.

Not that anybody cares or asked, but there is a cool history behind ChampioN boats.
I joined a ChampioN boat owners group and found out even though they no longer make them there is still an annual owners tournament like the skeeter owner tournament on Fork. Problem is it’s at Table Rock in Missouri every October. 6.5 hour drive.
Bucket list deal I guess. Someday...
As far as the history, ChampioN sold their hull patents and the patents changed hands between Stratos and Ranger. A couple of years ago a company bought the 187 and 206 Hull patents and hired a guy who worked for Champion for 30 years. They pledged to replicate not only the hull but the top cap to match original champions.
They are now called Charger bass boats. A nod to Champion with a similar name...

I've been told ChampioN has some of the best hulls around. I haven't personally be able to fish in one yet. I remember a couple years ago, the guy from Tactical Bassin bought a 2010 ChampioN, and decked it the EFF out. It was one of the sweetest boat I've seen, aside from the Marsh Minnow.

I wish I had a bigger one than the 17’6” w/115 hp, but I was 17 when I bought it so I didn’t need a big boat at the time/budget. I have considered selling it but it’s such a good boat I can’t let it go. Getting new seats and wind shields this fall after fishing season winds down.
My dream is the ChampioN 223, 22’3” bass boat. They call it the “aircraft carrier”.

2010 was the last branded ChampioN manufactured.
I like how I got us writing “ChamioN”.
I got in the habit in that owner group. If you look at the sticker/logo that’s how it’s done.

The boat I grew up in. With enough TLC it’ll hopefully be the boat my kids will grow up in. 1991 Ranger 361V, 1992 Johnson 175 Fast Strike. Still going strong.

Follow up question: What made you go with dual surface drives for those activities, rather than an outboard?
