Does anyone who has been in the standing room only sections for regional / super regional games have any details they could share on their experience? Direction to a previous thread on the subject?

I'm considering options for bringing my 6 year old to the Saturday games.

Thanks in advance

It’s not too bad and you’re in the shade

Just get there early and command a spot

I stand in our box sometimes, but usually just to grab some more Whiskey.

I wouldn't suggest this.

Your kid would be okay standing all game long?
Would probably need to get there early for him to be able to see.

Remember that 'Standing Room' means Standing. No sitting.

and there are a few tables where you may be able to sit to get off of your feet and/or feed the 6 yr old.

He's a trooper so not worried about standing.

More concerned about him being able to see, sounds like it'll be tough for him to though since I assume we'll lose our spot for bathroom / concession trips etc., so no sense being in the shade if you can't see.

Thanks for the thoughts. More are welcome.

depending on the number of folks in the sro area , you can usually move around to find a suitable spot. also there are a few spots on the lower walkway where you can stand behind he yellow lines. Those are ok but, foot traffic tends to be heavier.

I stood up along the left field line for years even with a seat. Stoney brook was the craziest I’ve seen. People standing everywhere. It can be a lot of fun.

Get there probably an hour early and get a spot under the grandstand against the railings where it’s allowed

Get there early and don't expect to go pee or get some food because you'll lose your spot.

The wife and I went before kids a few years ago to the super regional against Oklahoma and it was SRO. We got here quite early and got our spot right behind home plate in SRO. We just stood there the whole game and had a blast. I highly recommend getting there early, though.

D-Rail, driving in from LC, pick up tickets for 6pm game. What time should we get to A Box? Would prefer to eat close to stadium and not in it.

get to know the folks right around you and only go one at a time. We did this and never had any trouble. But yes if it is two of you and you both leave you will be screwed.
