I had -5 eyes and astigmatism and haven’t really have many problems to speak of. The only side effects I have had (I’m about 16 months out), is some issues with migraines, and my night vision has gotten pretty bad, especially when I’m tired.
There’s a lot of starbursts from bright lights

Same as me; been wearing glasses since I was a kid. In high school, I started wearing contacts but because of my astigmatism I had to wear the hard/rigid contacts. Those could be very painful to wear and expensive as hell. Each contact was a couple hundred and it sucked if you lost one. I wore hard contacts for many years and kept looking at Lasik but never pulled the trigger. When soft contacts that could correct astigmatism became available, I've never looked at Lasik again. After wearing hard contacts, soft contacts are nothing to deal with.
Yeah you right.. same here, had to insert those hard chunks of plastic into my eyeballs starting when i was 10 yrs old.. eventually gave up on those, then when the Toric (hybrid) lenses became available when i was in college, i’ve never looked back.

quote:Well I asked you dumbass and you got short, so I went full retard on your arse. Plus the guy said lens exchange and nothing about no acronyms.
With Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), sometimes called Clear Lens Exchange, the eye’s natural lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens to improve vision.
Since you are special.

Don’t go for the cheapest. You aren’t paying for the person to do the surgery as any trained doctor can do that aspect. You are paying the extra money for the doctor who knows how to handle it if it goes wrong.

I went through with the lens replacement surgery yesterday. Got to the center at 12:30 and was out by 3:00 with very little irritation. My vision was 20/20 at the follow-up today. I haven't paid the bill yet, but sure seems worth it.
