Rescue dog-- part Pitbull...

We are doing dog fostering from the shelter. Currently have a 5 month old female. Vets say she's got some pit in her. Hard to say how much. Doesn't really look like one. Sweetest dog ever been around so we think we may keep her.
However we're worried one day the "pit switch" will go off in her head and she'll decide to eat someone.
Are young pits usually that docile and friendly?

How much and what else she mixed with?

She might have a little Pitt in her but I wouldn't let that stop me.

As long as she doesn’t have any cassowary in her you should be ok

They aren't really sure--that's the thing with shelter dogs; it's often hard to say.

Pit mixes from shelters are trashy

I've never been around a dog at 5 months old that wasn't sweet. I would do a DNA test before making a final decision.

It would depend on what she is mixed with and how much pit he/she has in her. We have a lab/pit mix and she has never shown any other qualities than that of a lab.

I notice the sharp glare in the eyes on the look out for some child or adult to attack.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Looking for TDsnGumbo’s four-year old

Just raise her right and she'll be a sweetheart.

I have a female pit mix rescue. She's awesome. She can be a little crazy at times, but she's never thought about biting someone who didn't need biting

Doesn’t even look like a pit, I wouldn’t worry about it
