I do it every year. Here we are. I take LSU's numbers with a huge grain of salt this year with the injuries and such. But its an interesting look at our opponents.

very few people on here whose opinion I trust more than yours regarding lsu baseball

Thank goodness none of these teams like to steal bases a ton.

So So Miss is a better overall team?

My first reaction as well. That is the good part about this regional. Hopefully Marsh throws against Southern Miss

Southern Miss at #227 in fielding percentage. Honestly shocked it's not lower.

I dont think they are, lsu plays in a way tougher conference.

quote:Southern Miss is definitely talented but that #227 ranking in fielding percentage has played a huge part in Southern Miss needing to win the conference tournament just to make it this far.
So So Miss is a better overall team?

Arizona St can swing it, but really only have 1 good arm.
Southern Miss can run out several good arms, but really only a few good hitters and struggle defensively.
Stony Brook is average to below average hitting and pitching, but they do run the bases and make plays on defense.
That's what I drew from those stats.
If we play good baseball, we win the regional.

That was my first thought as well

Southern Miss will almost need to throw Walker Powell who is by far their best pitcher.

This is probably the best draw we could have hoped for. We should win this regional without much resistance

Well one good thing is teams in our regional don’t steal bases much.

Rooting for southern miss in that first game

Same. They have one good ace and then basically pitch by committee.

Any dominant left handed pitching between these teams? Will both Southern Miss and Arizona St throw it’s ace?
