Pretty sure Terrytown Elementary is 2/3rds Hispanic now.

since Katrina. not surprised to see a school in Kenner with those demographics, a quick drive up Williams Blvd will tell that story

Roosevelt’s attendance zone has always had Hispanics from Holly Heights and there used to be a huge apartment complex called the Redwood Apts that was all Hispanic. Not many Mexicans back then but plenty of Guatemalans, Hondurans and Costa Rican’s. Of course we called them all Puerto Rican’s as kids.

Since Hurricane Katrina. Kenner was already heavily hispanic by late 20th century. The rest of the parish has since caught up. The 2 streets of apartments and rental homes next to the 17th street canal from the i10 to the lake have to be 75% hispanic.
