MDA weaponized harden and developed a system that virtually guarantees a high seed over 82 games. They might well run harden into the ground doing it but were it not for GSW they’d be telling an entirely different story. You wonder if morey is getting an itch to try again somewhere else, as the harden/Paul pairing is basically set for several more years

I’m mixed on D’Antoni at the moment.

I think what he certainly deserves credit for is pointing out the obvious no one else had, which is that Harden needed to be point guard. Which is what really unleashed Harden’s full abilities.

From there though most of the system is simply my turn/your turn with Harden and CP iso ball. Of course the larger question is simply, is Harden even coachable? As that seems to be a theme of coaches and insiders in and out of Houston, Harden says the right things but defaults to the same tendencies and bends the offense to his will. He has a lot of Westbrook in him.

It almost worked last season, but is it viable going forward with declining 34 year old Chris Paul?
