Bobby Marks tweet:

Earning All-NBA for a second consecutive season now has Giannis Antetokounmpo eligible in the summer of 2020 to sign the largest contract in NBA history. The five-year extension starting in 2021-22 would be worth $247.3M and carry a $42.6, $46.0, $49.5, $52.9 and $56.3M cap hit.

One of the very few players in the association that is good enough and young enough that the Supermax wont cripple their team’s future

At 24 years old, that is a no brainer.

Lol if course it will cripple them. I highly doubt the Bucks are gonna go in to the luxury tax to put a team around him

You think being named consecutive all nba is what’s going to get him paid? He was getting max money whether he was named all nba or not

Buddy you really swung and missed on this one.

He’s eligible for that contract BECAUSE he was named all nba again. Theirs stipulations to the types of super max a player can receive

Uhhh we'll see, my guess is if it will put them in the luxury tax they aren't signing both unless 1 gives them a discount.

Either way thats not a super terrifying big 3

Lol no. Paying players like Westbrook, Lillard, Wall etc the Supermax into their mid-30’s when they’ll never win a title as a #1 option is what cripples teams.

~$50M per annum for Giannis’s age 27-32 seasons when the salary cap is projected to be over $120M is not going to cripple the Bucks imo
