I don't follow. Because an "anonymous opposing coach" speculated he thinks O would have done well in Tennessee in 2009, his time at Ole Miss is wiped clean? Just trying to understand what point you're trying to make here.

The stuff about our defense not being great is pretty hilarious IMHO. Seems Aranda may be a victim of his own success at times.

What happened at OM doesn’t mean a damn thing. It was 15 years ago at a program that hasn’t won the sec since the 60’s. But y’all still cry about us hiring the worst coach in OM history. Newsflash maybe y’all arent as knowledgeable as y’all think when it comes to coaching. I’ve said if CLM can win here there is no reason O can’t.

Aranda is a victim of his own success? We had better defenses under Chavis and Wisconsin had better defenses whenhe left. Defensively LSU always has top 5 talent.

How anyone thinks it's relevant is beyond me. It makes them look stupid as hell. As was mentioned in this thread earlier O is 31 and 11 since then. You think that O learned by his mistakes? I would say that he has. As another poster mentioned Alleva worked against Les and he pulled the same tricks against O. Alleva was not a good AD. Woodward will give O the tools to succeed. If he doesn't it will be on O and when he has to go on down the road it'll be his own fault. I firmly believe that O will ultimately be successful here and LSU will return to dominance.

It doesn’t not matter now that he’s had 3 years basically at LSU but it was his resume before he got here so it was a legitimate point.
and the OM haven’t won theSEC since the 60s trope is a red herring. The only options are not win the SEC or suck. We’ve seen coaches, actually all of them in the last 3 decades besides O and the current guy, win 9-10 games in a single season there. If you want to put it to bed, he needs to keep winning.

This is showing your anti Miles bias. Like it or not Miles had a better resume before getting the LSU job, that’s not the end all be all but it does suggest he was a better coach. He won a title and built another NC contender that only lost a rematch to Saban.

If O gets close to that it would be surprising.
