My guess is that their 5% number would include estimates for “all rapes”, even ones not reported.

I would also assume that rapes resulting in pregnancy are reported at a higher frequency.

Just a few ideas.

Yeah, I thought that as well. But still, there's too big of a gap in reported rapes and pregnancies.
