Hard to compete with an over-saturated, government-subsidized golf market.
Especially when the big dollar members would likely choose BRCC, LACC, or Uclub instead.

That course was apparently in bad shape and about to close till it was bought a couple years ago. Guy is having a special “pay what you want” just to up the traffic.

You tried to prove a point and played yourself. Lots of courses like that are tough to appeal to enough people to stay afloat. Keeping an affluent membership while also getting enough public play.

Alabama does it way better with comparable demographics and city sizes.

Pine Forest is a really fun course.

What's stopping you from playing a few holes after work at a BREC course? Twilight walking is cheaper than range balls
