one week they are literally cruise missiles with gps and heat detection capabilities

I’m not as bothered by this. It felt to me like it was established that Dany and Drogon could dodge their spears when he could see them vs being blindsided while flying much slower and more causally. Also Dany had plenty of time to prepare after understanding exactly where euron’s fleet would be and she saw all the scorpions lining KL’s perimeter wall
I still think it’s fair to question how she couldn’t see euron’s fleet hiding last episode given her vantage point.

I guess I’m one of the few people on earth that has enjoyed S8, but the scorpions going from OP dragon destroyers to useless made no sense and is dumb.

Seemed like she came at them from directly above this time, with the sun behind her. Euron was shielding his eyes when he was trying to find her.
At the castle she could also dive straight down, since the scorpions were all aimed outward.

They served their purpose as a Hollywood plot device. The show completely gave up on anything remotely reasonable this season.

They work well on injured dragons who aren't looking and have no idea they are there, that's about it.

It’s awful. The Dragons are so fricking op the entire series. Then one gets killed by a white walker. It was shocking. “Holy shite! The ww killed a fricking dragon!” Mind blown. We soon find out that the ww aren’t shite anyway.
The next dragon death is a buffoon shooting an arrow. Really? That’s all it takes?
One dragon left. Dodges 50 of the same arrows that killed the last dragon in 5 seconds.
The entire fricking season is all over the place and throwing shite together without any thought whatsoever. They want to finish this and start on Star Wars. It’s bull shite.

John Wick has always established itself as a mindless action flick. GOT has never been established that way in any shape or form.

OK, you didn't get it. OP is ridiculous for including "in history" in his statement; it's obviously hyperbolic in a way that suggests he hasn't seen many tvs or movies. I'm calling him out because he created an unnecessary thread with a spoiler in the title. I'm sure this exact conversation was had in the main thread.
I don't care how dumb or smart you think a movie or show is, if it has enemies shooting at main characters, the enemies miss more often than they should. Many a GoT character would be dead by arrow by now if that weren't the case.

What are the chances a main character survives the battle of castle black, hardhomme, the battle of the bastards, the battle of winterfell, and the battle at KL.

I feel like the biggest issues people are having is the OP status put on the dragons. Then how easy they died. Then how convenient it was for them to be op again. It just feels like forced drama and bad handling of their arc.
And the dragons were not the only things poorly handled.

Battle and tactics have been basically pointless this season.
Undead vunlerable to fire and flammable?
10,000 Dothraki screamers with flaming swords don’t manage to set a single one on fire, and are wiped out almost to a man...only to reappear en masse in this episode.
Unsullied (didn’t she have 8000?) first dying to protect everyone in a valiant last stand...
Then being enough to man a fleet of ships, only to be wiped out again,
To being just a small squadron that washed up on the beach...
Where Uber accurate scorpions that took down a dragon could have ended all of them...
To suddenly having thousands of unsullied and Dothraki and unsullied and northmen again...
Scorpions all but useless against soldier and dragon alike.
A pointless golden company (look at the ranks before the dragon, then after the dragon, and they don’t even make a difference?)
And don’t dragons have some sort of limit to how much fire they can breathe in one sitting?
Just have some consistency.
