Cotton will be a great D-lineman for SU. They making a push to be the HBCU national champs. Good pickup jags.

Over 95% each year on our on football team will never see the NFL. The kid just wants to play ball so I don't see the problem in transferring to SU. LSU or whomever if a kid isn't going to get any burn why not go to a school where you will play.

Again, LSU has some spiteful fans who shite all over some college kid because he wants to go somewhere else.

Good luck to Davin Cotton - I hope he does well and that SU is a good fit.

He obviously made this choice because he knows he will see the field immediately and most likely start from his first day there which is fine. He seemed to just not fit our defense but Aranda wanted him anyway because he’s plays hard when he’s on the field. Too small to play DT in our scheme and probably too short with not enough pass rush ability to play DE. He’s better off as a 3-tech DT in a 4-3 for a smaller program. That said I figured he would choose Grambling over Southern since he’s from Shreveport. He may have sold himself short. I bet he would have seen the field immediately for schools like Southern Miss, Southeastern, LA Tech or ULM.

But you had folks here saying that the low APR rank didn't matter.

So look. The only thing that makes sense is this kid did not see himself getting on the field for LSU. Good luck to him.

I know a guy that transferred from an sec school to southern.it was a rude awakening.he had to borrow helmet and pads from his old high school because their equipment was so bad.

Pretty much every program that signs 25 every year is going to need some attrition. It's not a big deal as it happens at nearly every program these days. He is no doubt going into a program where he feels more comfortable and is a better fit. If you have the talent the NFL will find you. Wishing him the best and appreciate that he gave LSU a shot.

He had 4 offers.. LSU and Tenn were only P5 offers.. UT was a dumpster fire. LSU should have never offered this kid. He’s playin at the proper level for his talent
