Video exists. 54 mph
1. I could not pitch from the rubber and get the push off and extra downward momentum from the top of the mound...I had to pitch from the grass in front of the mound.
2. The grass was wet from the recent rains and I wasn't wearing cleats.
3. I did not want to risk getting hurt. Throwing my hardest could have resulted in an elbow injury. As an endurance athlete, it was a risk I wasn't willing to take.

Couple of points. Field was tarped. No rain. Chicken chose what grounded him into Mother Earth. Shows how LSU grads are stupid - no Owl would choose to slip. Goes to the theory that Owls own Tigers in baseball.

Was that a 4 seam grip I detected? Did you learn that in travel ball?
