Does anyone know what kind of tree (preferably flowering) that I can plant close to the house without messing with the foundation? I guess it doesn't have to be a tree, maybe a tall shrub? I want something to accent the corner for a little more curb appeal. Thank you in advance for the help.

There's a dwarf magnolia variety that would work.

roots underground will spread out just as far as the branches of the canopy above ground so do not plant it close
