This is a serious question. Do you think we would have a measles outbreak if we had higher vaccination rates?

The narrative now is that hipster, granola parents refusing to have kids vaccinated has lowered the herd immunity. So you think that’s right? I’m genuinely curious.

No. Measles had been all but eliminated in this country 15-20 years ago. Then the anti-vaxxer movement started, entirely based on pseudo-science and paranoia.

It is right. There has been some impact from immigration as well, mainly from African nations with low immunization rates. Mexico and most Central American countries have higher vaccination rates than the US.
