There’s another one that Coach O talked about tonight that they’re waiting on

So Pretrail is 5/16 and actual Trial is 6/17

I assume if he completes pretrial diversion successfully, there will be no actual trial and the charges will be dismissed. I further assume it's standard to have a trial date set in case the offender doesn't complete the pretrial diversion program successfully.

Correct on both counts.

Is it known that he is participating in pretrial diversion? That would explain everyone’s quiet confidence in the matter resolving.

Or are you getting that from the word “pretrial” that’s set in May? Because that just means that there is a conference between the lawyers and the court to discuss the case before trial

Everything in my post was based on assumption, not facts.

Yes. The word pretrial is what made me think it was a diversion hearing based on the confidence everyone has that he'd be back. Wouldn't they set a pretrial hearing to formally dismiss the charges, or in the event the diversion program wasn't completed successfully, to decide to move forward with trial?

Are there reasons (other than him being in a diversion
program) that people would be so confident about him coming back, when he still has a trial date set?

Why is there a rush to get someone on trial for a sexual assault back on the field? What is this teaching the players in the future?

What rush? O said if he's cleared, we'd love to have him back.

Also, he claims innocence.

Based on what little info is out there, he was around 16 when the alleged assault happened and the victim was a minor. He was arrested at 19. Child protective services called the De Soto county police.

There are not facts because of the minor.

Dead to us. Dude hid that from coaches for months. That doesn't scream innocence.

Also, they used phone records and video evidence to arrest the men involved.

Ingram is "he said, she said" as far as we know. It's different.

Ingram's issue is far more serious but the level of proof is a lot lower, as far as we know.

Who's rushing anything? The LSU staff is waiting for the legal wheels to turn. Ingram's attorney is representing his client as he should. If he's innocent, shouldn't he be allowed to get on with his life?
