Nope. The first NE-SW ridges start farther south near Jemison,and near there they dive under the Coastal Plain, and to the west there's a subsurface zig that goes (at least) into Mississippi.

I'm not sure how these tie into the Ouachitas (not enough wells or seismic and the Reelfoot Rift system (I think) really was much more complicated to the south than anyone appreciates.

Glad to hear Bham is improving but it has the 2nd worst demographics of any city in the south (after Jackson). Also, had the fifth highest murder rate last year. Doesn't sound like a quiet city.
