Idk how you can watch Dame last year and think he was 100% right though. His brother was shot the week before the series on top of also having his first child. Then the whole Pels gameplan was to get the ball out of Lillard’s hands. It’s not that hard to see why Dame struggled.

Also, Pels fans seem to be just as salty over dame’s success this year as OKC fans just enjoy the moment. He just dropped a 50 burger walk off 3 against statistically a top 5 maybe 3 defense in the league.

Not me. I'm happy for the guy. And glad I stayed up to watch it.

Maybe I haven’t crawled through every thread like you, but I haven’t seen anyone salty over it, including the OKC fans.

I’m not salty at all. I will always find it hard to root against undersized pro athletes. I’d much rather lose to someone like Dame than Harden.

Brah I’m not salty at all. That shot was pure magic and I’ve been texting people all day what a badass Dame is. I even said I think earlier In this thread (pretty sure this one page 2 or so ode) to soak it in and stay up as long as you can cause it’s one of those 2-3 moments that every sports fan hopes to see live, and I’m jealous and would have loved to be there. It was that wild. It’s not like he took some wild out of control shot. The thing was on the wrong side of “Moda” about 7 feet from the half court line. (Considering the court is 94 feet long and the basket only sticks out so much, I would not be shocked if it was a foot or two longer than 37 feet.) and he WANTED that shot. It is honestly one of the ballsiest game winners I’ve ever seen. The feeling too of advancing and knocking the Thunder out on a 37 footer from your superstar had to have been insane. That’s about as adrenaline filled as it gets.

Physically, Dame wasn't right, either. He missed the last several games of the regular season with a bad ankle. Said he was ready for the playoffs, but he didn't have that first step to get by a defender. That, coupled with the Pels defensive scheme, he was reduced to a jump shooter.

Dame will NEVER say that, though. He will never blame his teammates. He will always take the blame and tell you HE has to get better.
