Man, I do so many of them I couldn't tell you the exact one it was. It was around the two weeks before they hired Griffin I think.
No racial undertones (THAT'S a story for another day and predates AD and the current ownership). It was stuff that made AD question if they actually want to win basketball games. Maybe the trade request then woke her up (possible!). And Griffin has done things that show things have changed. So maybe it changes his mind.

If that's the case it's believable. It's been pretty well documented that the organization wasn't set up for success. However, it would seem like hiring Griff and the renewed commitment from ownership would change that.

The racial stuff I’m aware of was brought up during the all star break, as Shinn apparently had a hissy fit circa 1988 over the mistaken impression that Dell Curry had married a white woman as opposed to a light skinned black woman when Curry was a member of the expansion Hornets.
I’m unaware of any racial stuff besides that, but I wouldn’t be surprised with Shinn.
