Can somebody tell me what CPM actually does?

Not a pitching coach, not a hitting coach, I’m confused as to what exactly his area of expertise is.
Most head coaches have some kind of background in coaching experience of one aspect of the game or another, I can’t find it with Paul.

Nothing he is a terrible coach. About 200 other active coaches have more wins, and national titles than he does. It's a disgrace that he is coaching LSU baseball. He has proven over and over again that he knows absolutely nothing about the game.

To sound like a soft spoken girl anytime he opens his mouth. He reminds me of the hippie biology teacher from Beavis and Butthead.

He’s only a Top 5 head coach in the country. But carry on

He fills out the Line-Up card and hands it to the umpire. Then he sits in the dugout and watches the game with a disgusted look on his face ! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconviolin.gif)

Awesome, our last natty was 10 years ago, the only time we’ve gotten close to getting another one was one time two years ago. The rest of the time we’ve either failed to get there or gotten bounced early as hell when we did. With all the talent that we’ve had here during his tenure, you’d think we’d have more to show for it.

Great at throwing players under the bus?

The number you're looking for is: 4
1 of which is retiring at the end of the year (Martin) and 2 others are NAIA coaches. So really, there's only one other "active" guy (Fox) who's ahead of Maineri.

I think you are getting a little tired of "OK, this is the year," great reasons we didn't it done and smiling nice foe pictures!

Somebody tell me what Mainieri does well.
We constantly bitch about his use of the bullpen, about base running, about our players’ approach at the plate or lack thereof, about our effort and intensity, the utter lack of discipline all over the place. All those problems start at the top.
Don’t backtrack now either, I see it in every single in-game thread and the threads after it.
You can see the disinterest on Mainieri’s face in the dugout.

Link to the last time he threw a player under the bus

And he sure isn’t a motivator. He just stood there last night like a knot on a log.

Ok, besides downvote me to oblivion, why don’t you treat me like I’m five and walk me through what Mainieri does so well that he’s irreplaceable.

CPM had a better record at Notre Dame than he has currently at LSU. I think it's more appropriate to say he WAS a top 5 head coach!
