why is he transferring, is it just because he doesn't think he'll see many reps?

Same year as Fields (Baldwin did his RS last year) so I guess he didn't think he'd win the job. He said something that it was having to do with getting home, not about playing time. Who knows if that's true.

This is likely the new normal in bigtime CFB. Bama had this issue a couple years ago, Clemson went through it last year, OSU is going through it. UGA may have something like it now as well. If you are passed up or equal to someone in age and they get the PT, you transfer.

QB is the only position where this will likely happen I would think, but it's going to be a problem for a lot of schools

It's a shame the NCAA has opened up free agency for those whining about playing time. You have the fields and martells of the world that lawyer up and can play immediately, yet Luke Ford who transferred from UGA back to Illinois where he's from, in part due to his grandfather's waning health, still at this moment hasn't even been gratned a waiver to play for this season.

It's transparent as hell and disgusting.

I mean this just isn't true. He wasn't highly recruited and neither was Burrow. They were guys OSU liked (Burrow was in state) and took a shot on later in the process. Tate was the only highly recruited QB who transferred. More Burrow false narratives from you

Burrow's best offers were:

WVU
NC State
Kentucky
Iowa State
BC

Baldwins offer lists:

UNC
Kentucky
Minny
Iowa

Edit: recruited by multiple schools, but not by schools competing for titles consistently at all

Not in a generation, or two.

Boston flutie

Iowa one in the 50s.

Minnesota before we were born.

None of those others.

So? Who defined "highly recruited" as ONLY national title school? I said highly recruited.

However, Burrow was recruited by more than 20 schools, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State and Oregon.

Baldwin was a 4-star but had some lingering injury issues through high school. Meyer's advisors concluded that the injury was not that big of a negative. He's had the surgery and rehab.

Despite his injury, Baldwin was recruited by 12 schools, got a QB scholly from UFM. So yeah, I call that highly recruited.

He was offered by exactly...none of them.

Both of his parents are LSU grads and big LSU fans so maybe he ends up here. I don’t know much about but a friend of mine was high on him during recruiting.

On the rivals page it's says Joe choose osu over Maryland and Iowa State, so add Maryland to the list

Wrong.

How does getting injured in the playoffs equate to lingering injury issues through high school?

On the rivals page, you have to hit the "show all" button to see all 20+ the schools.

Joe committed to Ohio State in his Junior year of High School & and had no interest in any other school after he committed.

Then he tried to play in that state championship game and on the first play his knee snapped like a twig. #neverforget

There are only about 5 of those in the country, if you are talking national titles.

, so dumb.

The guy said Burrow wasn't offered by Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, and Penn State, schools you touted. You link to Rivals that shows Burrow had an offer from only one of them - Michigan - and act like it proves your point.

Nice parts of Columbus are Dublin, Worthington, some of Powell and Upper Arlington. The rest of that town is mediocre to shite. Partying and having fun at a large school doesn’t make the entire town great.

Lived there multiple times once in a place I named and once not. Town would be above average overall if it wasn’t for the people.
