Because of this, shut the frick up and stop talking to each other. No more attempts at convincing the other side of anything. It will never happen. Even this board is nothing but bullshite and gotcha bits.

Apparently both sides have "their" truth. Liberal coworker just said that the increase in illegal immigration is Trump's fault somehow. Said him calling it a crisis has made more and more people come. Actually, the numbers of illegals are the same as under Obama first off. They are increasing as of late though.
I guess democratic politicians promoting open borders, sanctuary states and cities, and allowing illegal felons to stay didn't help cause this.

This. We don't live in separate realities. We live in the same reality. Liberals are inherently dishonest and reject reality in favor of whatever happens to be spouted by the leaders of their tribe at the time.
Example: no sane, civilized, human believes it is ok to murder children. None. Democrat politicians stand to support murdering children under the guise of "women's health care" in order to gain votes from women and the rest fall in line to parrot the argument- an argument, again, that they don't really believe, but will force themselves to believing its ok... because they've been told to do so by their tribe.
The same applies to almost every other DNC platform agenda issue: i.e, illegal immigration (see the people now against relocating illegal aliens to sanctuary cities who screamed, previously, about compassion, etc.).
Politicians want votes. Tribalists will parrot whatever their tribe's leaders tell them to, even if they don't really believe it. They'll make themselves believe that they believe it... for the party.
