They make one without the side burner that’s $799 at local hardware store.I wouldn’t use it since I have gas cook top at home.

Always thought it was cast. Either way I think the heavier lid is the way to go.

It might be closer to being 20 but not sure. I do know it was $499 back then. My wife thought I was insane. A decade and a half or more later I can still get parts for it, but have only replaced burners to stainless, flavorizers which rust out every 4-5 years, and igniter. Thing never goes in garage unless there is a hurricane. Can heat to 600 to cook a steak or turn on only front burner on low and slow cook ribs for 5 hours. It’s an incredible product.

Ive had a Weber 330 for 8 years now and it is still ticking. Only thing I've had to do was replace the igniter just recently.

With tax I think I paid $530ish for mine and yeah I looked a few weeks ago at the new ones and almost shite but they're worth it.

Mine in on the back patio under cover (a Mizzou cover) at all times.
