If any European country becomes 51% Muslim, what, if anything, will change?

Let's take France as a hypothetical. About 9% of the population in France is Muslim as of 2016, with the percentage rising each year due to immigration, birthrate and conversion.
What would change in France if Muslims ever become a majority in the country?
Second question: Would liberals welcome the changes?
