I thought they had plans in the works for a new bridge in a different spot. I live in Sulphur and officials here were tired of waiting for the state to fund a new I-10 bridge so there are plans underway to fund it privately and make it a toll bridge. A new six-lane structure a little north of the current disaster waiting to happen.

I'd advise everyone to watch some committee meetings in the legislature over the next 58 days. It's as educational as it is disappointing.
