Plumbing for remodel

Basically doing a full remodel on a older home and I was quoted $7500 for the plumbing work which includes rerouting drain lines and water lines for sink, shower, tub, toilet, in master bath and tying in new 4” drain line to septic tank (30’ or so)
That’s labor and material. Seems kind of high to me, just wondering the boards thoughts on the price?

Everything involved in remodeling is going to cost double what you think it should. Good luck.

We paid a total of about $10k for all new everything in our house...but it's a pier beam house.
New feeds, new drains, new modad.

Yeah, we will have to bust up slab. After looking around a little more I’m starting to think it’s not an outrageous price. shite just be expansive.

How many quotes did you get? Never get just one and tell them you are getting multiple quotes. If it’s a nice house and they don’t really want/ need the job they will quote you high as frick.
$7500 is like 2 weeks of work or one week for 2 guys. I doubt it’s that much.

Digging ditches on your stomach under a house is time consuming.

It can be. There are other factors as well. Location and timing can change the costs.
Our feeds were redone in 2014 with pex. Then we waited to do all the drains. Existing was working for the time being. The pipes ended up rusting through during the flood rebuilds. So that was a little more expensive.

Better know if your slab is NOT have tension wires ran. Very big no no cutting into a tension wire all together. Someone can get killed. Just a heads up.
