Yes because they think since Lions are from Africa you must be African American to voice an African animal. Otherwise its cultural appropriation.

Legit question. Was this really a thing. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about this until now. I know the cast is majority black. Was that something people bitched about or did Disney just do it on its own.
