Talked to Cedric Harris a couple of days ago and he said that he had talked to Jaden and he told him that he should start pitching competitively in a couple of weeks.

Nice. That's really good news.

ETA: This has little to do with the thread topic, but does anyone remember the name of the walk on that participated in fall practice who was also from Arkansas? I think he played HS and summer ball with Hill.

I talked to Alex's dad about three weeks ago and he said he wasn't playing baseball this spring but should being enrolling at Henderson State and playing next spring.

It’d be really nice to get Hill and Marceaux back.

Combine those guys with Walker, Henry, Fontenot, Hess, Hilliard and you may have the strongest staff in the country. Well maybe 2nd, Georgia is nasty.

Good deal, I was looking to see if he had transferred to JUCO or something. Thank you for the update.

But seriously..that’s great news!

As Yogi Berra once said, "I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous."

Not to derail thread, but I did look it up not long ago... there has been at least 1 MLB pitcher who could pitch with either arm, at the MLB level. Ridiculous.

They had to come up with a rule just for him. He couldn't switch arms during an at-bat.

FWIW I believe Paul has said that Costello may also be back by this weekend

Switch Pitcher vs Switch Hitter

This is why it is not stupid

Also off topic... Love Cedric Harris. He was by far my second favorite player at LSU (behind Eddy Furniss)

I was a young kid watching him play, but I swear I remember multiple inside the park homers and I remember one play, a deep ball in the gap and a runner on (1st?), Details fuzzy but I remember he's on the warning track and throws an absolute bullet home to get the runner.
Again, I was young, so the fish may have grown over the years, but that's how I remember it.

Mainieri said yesterday Costello will likely pitch one inning tonight against Southern.

Todd Harris of the Bosox in the mid to late 90s could also do it

If we start getting these guys back on the mound and we can get the bats going consistently we are going to be extremely tough to beat.

Can't say this enough. This team is surviving right now and so far from its peak.

I hope we get to see all the pieces come together when it matters most!
