88% of my students qualify for free lunch. At the same time, they all have an iPhone and $100 sneakers. If you think that education is a priority in those households, I don’t know what to tell you. I do know that I go home every day knowing that I’ve done the best that I can for those kids, test scores be damned.

100% at my school. They are just good country kids though but reading levels are way behind, mostly single parents, low socioeconomic status for sure
