The tax payers have no right of action against the LSU athletic department. They don't take a dime of tax money.
Class action? Who is the defined class and how have they suffered the same harm? I have season tickets and my team won the SEC and is playing in the NCAA without a single restriction. No loss at all.

If we could, more fans would be asking for reparations for the 1.9 debacle in the Dome than basketball fans would be.

Anybody can sue anyone for anything anytime.

First, find yourself an attorney with a degree from a school located on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

We paid for tickets expecting the best product on the floor
Nothing about being subpoenaed for one thing requires or even excuses you from cooperating with your employer about other things.

And you a contract with LSU that defines what "best product" means and that LSU promised to deliver that?

That's your opinion. Good luck proving it true. Better luck when you are hit with countersuit for attorney's fees when you are proven wrong.

Sure. Louisiana is filled with two bit lawyers that would take the case for the noteriety.

You can “sue” by not continuing to pay for anything LSU athletics related

Nothing? What if your attorney advises you not to talk to your employer and the NCAA until after the trial?

The OP stat thated "he doesn't have to talk". I took that as an implication that he believes that to be legal mandate arising from the subpoena. It's not. Following his attorney's advice isn't required or an excuse. It's a personal decision that comes with with ramifications.

Hire Chase Trichell of the Trichell Law Firm.He is not too busy as he was all over the news at the student/fan protest 2 weeks ago. He needs some business to keep him busy and away from frivolous protests! Great a lawyer leading protests against Will Wade being suspended for being on an FBI wiretap talking about basketball recruiting with a know middleman!

Oh, it is a damn good excuse.

I agree. I still beleive the Admistartion had a knee jerk reaction to media reports and the Administarion should have taken into account what he was advised to do by council. IF after an investigation we have to vacate wins we vactate wins. So be it.
What would you do if you were Wade?

LSU isn't worried about vacating wins. They have no control over that. What they do have control over is how they conduct themselves in light of serious allegations implying improper conduct by their head basketball coach.

I can't really answer that without knowing what the truth is. If I'm Wade and I think they have incriminating evidence, I'd probably negotiate a buyout. The NCAA would scoff at a non-disclosure agreement but at least LSU could say they suspected their coach commited violations and they severed his contract. Wade can deal directly with the NCAA and hopefully LSU avoids sanctions.

Yeah right.

Sure you can. You are Wade. Your attorney advises you not to speak to the Administartion and the NCAA untill after the trial. What would you do. It's not a hard question.
