Most 12 year olds can complete a 10k. Not a whole lot could do it without walking simply because they lack mental strength. If you stayed with him and encouraged him he could most likely run the entire time.

There are some really really slow people that run the Disney runs. He will be fine. There will be all kinds of character stops and refresh stops along the way as well. Disney runs are about as easy as you can make it.

I won’t be there. He’s running with my sister in law, but I’d assume he’d want to run faster than her.

It’s in two weeks, but ideally he’d be able to pace himself off of a winning time, then just dial it back if he’s not feeling it. IDK or pace himself for an hour, and if he’s got more in the tank start picking it up to try for 50 minutes.

I’m not a runner and I have no idea what to tell him. Sub 50 minutes looks like what it would take to win.
