The almost 400,000,000 firearms in America disagree with your statement. And before you reply with "a few AR15's cannot stop the US military", a hundred thousand AK47's did a good job bogging them down in the middle east.

Besides, the guns do not need to stop the U.S. Military to stop tyranny. They can stop the politicians bent on installing tyranny.

THAT is the effective deterrent.

I'm not suggesting we are there. Only that, whenever a time comes that the politicians are going too far...they are the targets. Not some tank or missile silo.
