Went with my 12 year old. We decided to go see a movie at the last minute. Think district 9 meets 1984 and V for Vendetta, and set in Chicago. John Goodman is pretty good in it along with several others. Good movie. Will watch again if I run across it on Netflix or tv later.

It's very reminiscent of the TV show Colony. Pretty much the exact same premise. I'm glad it didn't hit you over the head with the political message, even though it was very apparent. The video Gabe watched at the end tied everything together well, and even though I had figured out who Phoenix was early on, the big reveal was well done.

I was expecting this to get terrible reviews since they hardly showed any previews for it and didn’t release the reviews till the day it came out but it’s actually getting decent ones. I plan on checking it out next week

Stay through the first part of the closing credits. It elaborates on what happened in the last scene. The theater turned the house lights on and I wasn't able to read all of it.

Just saw this. I wasn't really too engaged with the characters through most of the film. The sound of the film was well done and tried to keep up the tension and the drama, but I didn't find myself caring about what happened.
But I have to say I really liked the payoff and the way they explained it. I was a little slow on the uptake and only figured out what was happening late in the game. I think I would enjoy it more on a rewatch.
