She wasn't bad from an acting perspective, and yes her relationship with Charles is pretty interesting.

But in terms of being the center of the world, she doesn't have the gravitas as a character. And she isn't important enough. Charles always needed a Scott when he was alive and a Logan when he wasn't. The films did neither.
