I just laughed at the end.

One thing I’ve noticed listening to post game shows etc is the difference in perspective from one STH to the next.

For me, I get to spend so much time at 32 with my parents at these games and also have something important to all of us that we share together. I treasure that time with them, and as my dad said, it would be hard to contrive a similar scenario.

For others, they go solely to support the team and watch them try to win basketball games. Some travel for an hour + from BR, Monroe, Lafayette etc and losses like this are devastating.

I only bring this up because it’s difficult for those on this site to sometimes wonder why people want to win these games. Every person’s experience varies from one to the next. So while I’m playing the long game and hoping we lose to be competitive in the future, I also realize i have something just as important that makes these games worth going to.

I don’t think I’ve seen a Technical for that reason in my entire team as a STH. I don’t know that I’ll ever see another one, much less one that actually decides the game.

To my fellow Pels brethren who spend their time and money to see the Pels win, just know that losing is very important with these new lottery odds. There is certainly a silver lining in defeats like tonight. Also remember we’re sitting our best player to rest him and only playing AD to avoid league wrath. I certainly don’t begrudge anyone the decision not to renew like the caller in post game. There’s hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel, and thanks for bringing the energy tonight. It was a great atmosphere all things considered.

There's solace in the fact the pels play to the wire and are never complete garbage like say the Knicks and the way the mavs have been playing

I can live with any result as long as they give a frick and arent folding like the above

When I'm at the games, I'm still a fan. So, even though I know it's best for them to lose, I still act like a fan who wants them to win. I also have my 7 year old with me who just wants to see them win too, so that makes a difference.

I actually just decided to renew yesterday. I was pissed after the AD stuff, but after some time has passed, I feel the same way I have the past 5 years that I've had tickets...the team is important to this city, and I enjoy the entertainment they can provide; so I want to continue to support them.
