People always talked by 1994 as the best year for movies, but 1982 is really up there.

You forgot Tron and The Dark Crystal.

Most importantly however you forgot Beastmaster!

I'm partial to 1984.

Seriously, check out all those movies we love.

And 1984 might be the greatest year in Pop Culture history.

Albums released:

“Jump” by Van Halen
“Purple Rain” by Prince
“Thriller” by Michael Jackson

Apple Computer’s famous ad “1984” launches the Macintosh computer line.

Hulk Hogan defeats The Iron Sheik to win his first World Wrestling.

Sony and Philips introduce the first CD players.

The Cosby Show and Miami Vice debut on prime time television.

These shows were also on TV:

Dukes of Hazzard
Magnum, P.I.
Hill Street Blues
The Fall Guy
Cheers
Family Ties
Knight Rider
A-Team

I see two all-time great movies (Blade Runner and ET) and a bunch of good but not great movies in that list. Definitely not up there with 1994 or 2007 for that matter.
