Bizarre TV edit in Forgetting Sarah Marshall on basic cable

In the final breakup scene where Jason Segal goes to a crying Sarah Marshall, when he's supposed to be getting a BJ and then realizes his "dick won't work because you broke my heart into a million pieces"...
In the FreeForm TV network version, there's a scene spliced in where Peter sees an Aldous Snow heart tattoo next to her vagina, then asks how long ago she got the tatoo and she says two weeks.
In that version, That is what prompts him to storm out and finally end it with Sarah and say the devil line.
I had no idea how this movie would work on TV, but I've never seen what I presume is a deleted/alternate scene spliced in like that.
BTW, Forgetting Sarah Marshall will be the subject of "The Rewatchables" podcast this week. I think the episodes are released around mid-week.

They didn't do a good job of it either, because I believe they left the part where the bigger black guy (don't remember his character) still mentions he's like Ghandi for stopping mid-BJ

When they go into the categories of "who stole the movie" or "most rewatchable scene," I don't know how you come to one answer.
Everybody is throwing 110mph in this movie. . Not only the leads of Segal, and Bell and Kunis, and Russell brand, but frick me, between "Kunu" and Jack McBrayer and Jonah Hill and Hader, etc., it's one of the best comedy ensembles, performance wise, I can think of.
Plus, everything about the movie is just so likable. I just hole they don't bring in the token chick to throw the rythym off of the podcast. Just get the main 3 guys and go.

I guess to get around certain copyrights, TV has always aired alternate versions.
There's two extra scenes in Fast Times at Ridgemont High that used to air on TV for years.
Caddyshack even has an extra scene among the deletes when it aired on TV back in the day.

Isnt there a kickball scene in Billy Madison spliced in or something?
Posted on 3/4/19 at 11:00 pm to TheHumanTornado
I remember there is a kickball scene where he plays the whole mansion staff I think, but I probably haven't seen Billy Madison NOT edited and on basic cable in 15 years. So I have no idea if it's spliced in or not anymore. Sandler movies it seems were just in a loop on FX or something for about a decade.

I deserve the downvotes and maybe a ban for that post. I totally didn’t read my post when I pressed submit. I’m not sure what I fat fingered to get amazing autocorrected to awful or just completely wrote the wrong thing, but in no way is this movie awful. This movie is a top tier comedy.

Easily my favorite comedy since 2000. Someone should bump the FSM love thread from a year or two ago on here.

Unfortunately this site anchors pretty much every old thread and if it’s not anchored, the gifs won’t work so it’ll kind of suck

comedies were on fire then...we've been in massive slump for what feels like damn near a decade since

Well there was a time that major motion picture releases would actually film scenes specifically for future TV airing.
Some films actually filmed scenes completely after the film's release for TV purposes.
I know from reading wikis on certain movies, both airplane and Halloween fall into that category.
Many many others once TV became huge.
People forget, there were only three channels for 30 years almost? It would be worth "refilming" scenes because the selling of rights were outrageous for the time. The networks would make financial killings on these first tv run premieres.
