T.J write up on Miami’s 247. Interesting read on his 7 on 7 tournament and development. Looks like he’s been working on his game.

On a day where a handful of future Power 5 arms were throwing, it was Finley who proved to be the most consistent of the bunch. The LSU commit showed plenty of touch on his intermediate passes and was able to lead scoring drive after scoring drive.
Wish there was more than a paragraph on him but looks like he improved his accuracy.

Good for him. Talent is not an issue with the kid. Hope he continues to perform well. Still not gonna change my stance as it pertains to Haynes King but i can be swayed concerning he and Johnson.

Still prefer him over Haynes

I posted this in one of the other threads.
Miami mod (again, not a scout, but better than nothing) said in a different thread that he was impressive and Miami should go after him.

Give me TJ, and King. TJ’s ceiling is crazy and it’s no coincidence that when talent is put around him instead of his crappy HS team the kid looks great. I wish he’d head to IMG honestly

2nd time now he's looked impressive in a camp type setting since end of last year

This contradicts the RBers that say we should drop Finley and go after King and keep Max.
We should just consider this unresolved until it becomes un-unresolved.

“T.J. Finley sucks” “T.J. Finley is overrated” “T.J. Finley should look elsewhere” “T.J. Finley is getting kicked out of the class” “T.J. Is worse than Max, and we should drop T.J.”

Keep TJ at all cost and go heavy evaluations for the second Qb

I’ve been saying we should take Haynes and drop Johnson. We keep Finley. Sounds like the best option for everyone. If Haynes doesn’t come, then we have 2 highly ranked QB’s on board still.

If he has the touch and accuracy and demonstrates a good football IQ he needs to be a priority keep because he has a far superior arm talent. Just based on film he looks to be the least mobile, but I don't know if that's more scheme than ability.

The experts of the rant told me he was UTSA bound so I don't know who to believe

Wait til Max performs at camps as he has for 3 years now. How do you think he got ranked as high as he was before? What will be the argument then?
Remember Anthony Jennings? He was great in camps as well. Howd that work? Point is that 7 on 7 in particular isnt really a great indicator of prospects ability. Its a tool, as are camps and friday nights. Finley has done well twice this offseason and that great for him. Hope he continues to.
Our staff going hard for DJ and King says they arent satisfied with Max or Finley or both. Like the poster above said, its unresolved until its un-unresolved. Gonna be interesting. I want King. The 2nd guy im neither here nor there but currently i prefer Johnson but can be convinced otherwise.

You take Haynes and Johnson will start looking.

That would be fine. I’d much rather have Haynes over anyone else right now. You take Haynes, and one of the guys will be pushed off. We will find out at some point about the whole situation. It looks like we will be taking 2 of those 3 this class.

7 on 7 tournament
Stopped reading right there.
I’m glad to see him working on his reads but this 7 on 7 thing is an entirely different sport than tackle football.
