They are distancing themselves as far as possible from the first one. Harley Quinn will probably be the only OG member and even then she’s no guarantee.

It will be a sequel in name only. Viola Davis and Margot Robbie are the only two rumored to return, so it will be a new lineup with a different story.

Will smith played a character who historically wears a mask for 99 percent of the time, and then demanded to not be wearing the mask in the movie for 90 percent of that movie.

This wouldn't really bother me. The first one was below average. They need to start over and do it right this time. Hire someone that can put two fricking ideas together, and tell stories that haven't been told over and over again for decades.
